New England Historic Genealogical Society Databases (Subscription required to access most of the databases).
Indexes include the Vital Records to 1850, Massachusetts Archives 1841 - 1910 Birth, Marriage, and Death Records with
images, and the New England Historic and Genealogical Register 1847 - 1998. Many members of the Essex Rootsweb List
have access to this website and are willing to do lookups. If you have family in Massachusetts, it is well worth the
subscription. As a volunteer working on this database, I have connected images to entries and made corrections to this
database for the births and marriages to date. I am working on the death entries. The image for Saugus births 1847-48 is
not currently available, I have scanned the Saugus Town Records for the births for this time frame. Some images for
1844-45, 1903, 1905, 1907, and 1909 marriages are not available on-line and I have scanned the Saugus Town Records for
these time frames. Please contact me if you would like a lookup.

The on-line database is missing some names for 1886-1890 births, 1886-1895 marriages, and 1891-95 deaths. This page,
1896-95 missing names, provides some of the missing names except for Birth volume 376 pages 382 and 384, due to
missing images, and deaths because I just determined they were missing. See my notes on the database for an explanation
of the various types of errors.
